Lovely Letters Meets Twitterpated DSP

Lovely Letters stamp set and Twitterpated DSP Stampin' Up!

Here is a sweet and simple monogram card using the Lovely Letters stamp set and Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (DSP). This red patterned paper is one of my favorites from this DSP pack, and the red is Riding Hood Red from the Regals Color Collection of Stampin’ Up!

The Lovely Letters stamp set is a great size for making cards and scrapbook pages. Since I mostly punch out my letters after I stamp them, I prefer to use the wood mounted alphabets.  I used the Labels Collection Framelits and my Big Shot to "punch out" the monogram and corresponding layer. It’s much easier to stamp your letter first and then run the image and frame lit through the Big Shot. If you find that your framelit moves in the Big Shot, use a piece of tape or a post-it note on one side of the framelit to keep it in place.

Here are all of the lovely letters in this stamp set as I like to see how all of the letters look in a stamp set before I purchase it:

Wisteria Wonder Card

 Wisteria Wonder In Color Card

Sometimes the most sweet and simple card is made with a single color.  For this card, I focused on the In Color Wisteria Wonder and paired it with the Just Believe stamp  set. It’s a beautiful pale purple that is elegant yet calming.  I added a few Pearl Accents in 3 different sizes for some instant elegance. In typical Stampin’ Up! fashion, the ink, card stock, and ribbon all match perfectly.  This matching of ink to card stock to ribbon is what inspired me to join Stampin’ Up! It’s great to purchase all of my matching supplies at a discount!

Here are more details on the supplies I used.  Please email me at sharon@stampingsharon.com if you have any questions.

Sending Some Sunshine Today!

Share

I love to make and send handmade cards, but I don’t like figuring out the postage. This stack above will be mailed today and includes mail for some Sweet Rewards Club Members and some of my Fleur de lis Friends Team Members.  I never seem to have the correct stamp denominations, and my stamps don’t ever match my envelopes. (Yes, I know that I have OCD :) ).  As I promised yesterday, here is a picture of my Mother’s Day present:

Yes, it’s a postage printer.  I love it!  I can print out the exact postage amount, and there are no stamps to clash with my envelopes.  I also don’t have to wait in line at the Post Office!  I hope you will take some time today, and send some sunshine to someone in your life. I will post pictures of the cards in these envelopes later this week as inspiration for you.

Sweet and Simply,

Happy “Honey Do” Day!

My dear husband calls today "Honey Do" Day.  I hope all of you mothers have a wonderful day!  Yesterday, we all went shopping to buy my Mother’s Day gift.  While not a traditional gift, it was something I really wanted!  Check back tomorrow, and I’ll show you how I am using my new gift.

Here is a picture of our 2 girls this morning with our wonderful breakfast of donuts and chocolate milk.  Yum!

Happy Mother's Day!

Here’s hoping that you have a Happy "Honey Do" Day!

 Serif Essentials Monogram Card

I was very sad to see the Serif Essentials Alphabet die set on the retiring list.  I use these alphabet dies for notecards, scrapbook titles, banners, bag tags, and lots more!

Once the new catalog comes out, I always sell my retired items.  I honestly can’t think of any retiring items that I won’t sell EXCEPT this alphabet set.  This alphabet die set will only be around until May 31, so don’t miss your opportunity if you like it as much as I do.

I love to make sets of 6-8 monogrammed notecards for gifts.  This monogram card also uses the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Riding Hood Red cardstock.  I love the elegance of the alphabet and this DSP.

 Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets

My Sweet and Simple card today features the Fabulous Florets stamp set and two of the new In Colors: Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple.  I love how these two new colors can be paired together.  I was amazed at how easy it was to stamp the main flower image using the new Stampin’ Up! foam ink pads.  The ink pads look the same but they now have a foam ink pad meaning the ink pads are juicier but not too juicy.  I only had to ink the image once for this solid flower image.

Here is a close-up:

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the flower and added the Pearls to finish off my sweet and simple card.  I can’t show you pictures of the new In Colors yet but here are the other supplies:

Well, the box looked different

 Stampin' Up! MDS Shipping Box

This was the box greeting me at my back door this afternoon.  The box looks different from the normal Stampin’ Up! box because this box contained the cards I made using My Digital Studio.

Here are the two cards that I printed out for Father’s Day.  You can click on each if the images to learn more about these digital cards.

Digital crafting is easy to take with you if you have a laptop.  I was able to make these cards and upload them all from the comfort of my daughter’s cheer gym.  It’s a great alternative to traditional crafting when you are on the go.  The best part is that Stampin’ Up! printed the cards on beautiful paper and included envelopes.

If you have any questions on digital crafting, please drop me a note to sharon@stampingsharon.com.
